A healthy breakfast wakes up your preschooler’s body by starting the metabolism. Breakfast provides the energy your child needs for the day. Research has found that children who skip breakfast tend to weigh more. This might be because these hungry children eat more during the day.
Work at Wild Things
Wild Things carefully select their nannies and educators. It’s important that all our educators and nannies have a genuine passion and interest in working with children and families, and are able to provide education and care in a calm and safe learning environment.
Our nannies and educators all have experience with young children, and most have some early childhood qualifications.
Educators
Educators are required to:
• Complete the application process which includes a police clearance and references
• Complete training through the Open Polytechnic – costs covered by Wild things
• Hold a current first aid certificate - costs covered by Wild things
• Be involved in ongoing professional development
• Meet all Wild things health and safety requirements and policies and procedures as per the Ministry of Education ECE Legislation.
• Be able to provide an educational programme and document children’s learning with support from your visiting teacher.
Wild Things will support you by:
• Support from your visiting teacher through regular visits
• Educational support and training
• Educational resources
• Nursery equipment
• Regular playgroups and excursions and events for children and educators
• All reimbursement payments are administered by Wild Things.
Nannies
Nannies are required to:
• Complete the application process which includes police clearance and references.
• Hold a current first aid certificate - costs covered in part by Wild things.
• Be involved in ongoing professional development
• Meet all Wild things health and safety requirements and policies and procedures as per the Ministry of Education ECE Legislation.
• Be able to provide an educational programme and document children’s learning with support from your visiting teacher.
Wild things will support you by:
• Support from your visiting teacher through regular visits
• Educational support
• Educational resources
• Regular playgroups and excursions and events for children and educators.
